Key Position Tasks: The Business Development Manager plays a key role in growing MBV’s membership by leading proactive sales activity, generating high-quality leads, and building strategic relationships across Victoria. This role offers uncapped earning potential, rewarding success in driving membership growth and commercial outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Generate and convert new business opportunities through proactive sales activity, including outbound prospecting, site visits, networking, and referrals
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with business owners, decision-makers, employer groups, and industry stakeholders
- Participate in and support acquisition-focused events, including industry expos, networking forums, and information sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity, leads, and outcomes in CRM systems
- Willingness to undertake regular travel within Victoria as part of a field-based role
Key Skills, Attributes and Experience: - Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or a similar client-facing role with a focus on new business acquisition
- Proven ability to prospect, build pipelines, and convert opportunities into customers or members.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management capability, particularly in a field-based environment. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently
- Current driver’s licence is essential
