Mechanical Supervisor
Site Based | New South Wales | Defence Projects
Shadbolt Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical teams delivering critical works across major Defence projects in Sydney, New South Wales.
This is a predominantly site-based leadership role, where you'll supervise Mechanical Fitters, Trade Assistants and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in supporting Australia's Defence capability while working within a professional, safety-focused environment.

About The Role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will:
Lead and supervise Mechanical Fitters, Trade Assistants and subcontractors.Coordinate daily mechanical installation, maintenance and commissioning activities.Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.Plan labour, materials and equipment to meet project schedules.Liaise with Project Managers, clients and other trades to deliver successful project outcomes.Conduct toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety inspections.Monitor productivity, quality and compliance with company and Defence requirements.Mentor and develop team members to build capability and performance.Maintain accurate reporting, project documentation and quality records.Drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
About You
You Will Bring
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.Demonstrated experience leading mechanical teams on Defence projects or within Defence environments.Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.A commitment to safety, quality and delivering exceptional results.Current Driver's Licence.Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (essential).
