Learning & Development Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator to join Glenhaven’s team, based at our Head Office in Ulverstone or our Launceston office, on a fulltime basis.

The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for coordination, administration, and delivery of a range of learning and development activities and projects as directed by the People and Culture Manager. In addition, the L&D Coordinator will be responsible to ensure the development and maintenance of robust learning and development systems and processes and be the point of contact for learning and development queries.

Applicants with experience in the Community Sector, who have a good knowledge and understanding of therapeutic trauma informed care and developmental trauma, will be well regarded, as will applicants with demonstrated experience with cloud-based HRIS and LMS systems.

This is a fulltime, permanent position. Regular travel between our Ulverstone and Launceston offices will be required.

As the Learning & Development Coordinator, you will:

• Assist with the preparation of the annual Learning and Development Plan: plan the training needs of the organisation in conjunction with the People and Culture Manager and the broader Management team.
• Support the People and Culture Manager in the implementation of the Learning and Development Program, including budget and reporting.
• Assist with the development, facilitation/delivery and administration of training programs and virtual packages.
• Review and liaise with external training providers as required.
• Assist in the coordination of employee leadership and traineeship programs.
• Maintain awareness of State and Federal funding opportunities for learning and development programs.
• Ensure all learning and development programs are sourced, developed, and implemented in line with Glenhaven Family Care’s vision and values.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must be Australian permanent residents to be eligible for this position.

Essential:

• Hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and/or equivalent experience.
• A demonstrated ability to design, roll out and administer virtual training packages and programs via a cloud based LMS, including online induction packages.
• Demonstrated experience in the coordination, facilitation and delivery of whole of organisation training programs.
• A demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholder RTOs and advocate for quality training outcomes.
• Hold a valid and current unrestricted Australian licence.
• Hold a current (less than 12 months old) Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check OR National Police check or ability to acquire.
• Possess a NDIS endorsed Working with Vulnerable People card or ability to acquire.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the community services or disability services sector.
• Knowledge/experience related to providing therapeutic trauma informed care to children and young people and an understanding of developmental trauma.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in learning and development coordination and delivery.
