Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Spare Parts Interpreter to join our team based in Riverstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Parts Interpreter to join a professional and supportive team within the materials handling industry. You will play an important role in supporting our customers, service technicians and workshop operations by accurately identifying, sourcing and supplying spare parts for forklifts and specialised materials handling equipment.

The successful candidate will have strong parts knowledge, excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying, sourcing and supplying spare parts for forklifts and materials handling equipment

• Assisting customers and technicians with parts enquiries and technical information

• Reading and interpreting parts manuals, diagrams and technical documentation

• Preparing quotes and processing customer orders

• Ordering, receiving, checking and dispatching parts

• Coordinating parts requirements for, interstate branches, service technicians and workshop repairs

• Maintaining accurate stock levels and assisting with stock control

• Using parts and inventory management systems

• Processing invoices and related parts administration

• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams

• Following up outstanding orders and ensuring parts are supplied in a timely manner

• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient parts department

• Ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely and in accordance with company procedures

About You

We are looking for an experienced Spare Parts Interpreter who is:

• Experienced in spare parts interpretation, preferably within automotive, forklift, earthmoving, heavy equipment or materials handling

• Confident identifying parts from manuals, diagrams, part numbers and technical information

• Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently

• Comfortable managing competing priorities in a busy environment

• A strong team player who works well with technicians, customers and suppliers

• Confident using computerised parts, inventory or ERP systems

• Committed to providing a high standard of customer service

• Safety conscious and committed to following safe work practices

Experience within the forklift or materials handling industry would be highly regarded; however, we are also interested in candidates with strong transferable parts experience from related industries.
