Warehouse Assistant

Part-time | 27.5 hours/week | 📍 Preston, Melbourne

With our own tech team, strong online presence, and passionate people, we're growing fast - and we're looking for a motivated and highly capable Warehouse Assistant to join us.

This is a permanent part-time position. The role will suit someone who has experience in delivery driving, retail, supermarkets, pick/packing, factory work or any detail-oriented & initiative based physical role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is quick, physically fit and strong, efficient and very well organised. You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment working towards deadlines, and seeks to own their role.

Please note: you must be able to regularly lift and move up to 25+ kg boxes & product to be considered for this position.

Hours:

27.5 hours/week

Monday 7am-3pm

Tuesday 7am-12pm

Thursday 7am-3pm

Friday 7am-3pm

Pay: $27.81 per hour, plus Super**

** Pay rates are commensurate with experience

What you'll do:

• Unpack, process, and receive stock and deliveries
• Support stock control, stock takes, and wastage reduction
• Support on-site logistics and keep the warehouse organised and running smoothly
• Assist with quality control and flower preparation and plant care
• Communicate with suppliers as needed, including stock ordering and credit organisation
• Pitch in with general warehouse duties to support the whole team!

What you'll bring:

• 1+ years of prior warehousing experience is ideal but not required. 
• Capable of easily lifting heavy buckets to and from shelves (up to 25kg+ daily)
• Ability to follow, analyse, and improve systems and procedures
• Exceptional time management skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work as a positive and helpful team member and both give and receive constructive feedback
• General Excel & Google Docs knowledge

Bonus points for:

• Knowledge of flowers is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
• Experience with ordering and costing of stock
