JLL is seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Manager to lead the management of Rundle Place, a premier retail asset in Adelaide, South Australia. This is an exceptional opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile shopping centre and drive operational excellence, financial performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will lead a dedicated team including Administration, Operations, and Marketing Managers, ensuring the centre operates to the highest professional standards and delivers maximum returns to our client, Growthpoint Properties Australia.
About Rundle Place
Rundle Place is a well-established retail destination requiring strategic leadership to maintain its market position and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on asset performance and retailer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Planning
Prepare and analyse budgets, business plans, monthly reports, and forecasts in accordance with the Management Agreement
Maintain tight control over operating costs and maximise net returns
Oversee rent collection, arrears management, and outgoings recoveries
Analyse retailer trading performance and occupancy costs
Operations Excellence
Maintain the centre to the highest standards while minimising liability exposure
Ensure compliance with OH&S, environmental, and risk management policies
Manage maintenance programs, contractors, and plant/equipment to Australian Standards
Oversee minor tenancy fit-outs and project management
Leasing & Retail Mix
Work with external leasing consultants to achieve key leasing milestones
Manage assignment of lease processes and retail mix strategy
Prepare leasing documentation and disclosure packages
Marketing & Retailer Relations
Develop and maintain positive relationships with retailers to drive productivity
Implement marketing strategies that reflect the centre's market position
Proactively manage underperforming retailers and minimise rental abatements
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing centre-based team
Foster a culture of client focus and service excellence
Collaborate effectively with portfolio and head office teams
Essential Requirements:
5+ years of retail property management experience with comprehensive knowledge of property functions and the Retail Tenancy Act
Current Real Estate & Business Sales Representative Registration (Property Managers) in South Australia
Degree in Property, Business, Management or related discipline
Superior financial acumen and analytical capabilities
Excellent reporting skills and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency

Proven leadership and people management experience
