About the role
With a proud 33-year history, Forte Lift Services is Australia’s largest independent lift company, delivering commercial lift maintenance, modernisation and new installation solutions.
We have built our reputation on strong customer relationships, responsive service, quality workmanship and practical technical expertise. We are now seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead one of the most important operational functions within our business in Victoria.
This is a senior, business-critical leadership position with substantial influence over our customer relationships, service quality, financial performance and future growth.
You will have end-to-end responsibility for the performance of our service operation, including leading and developing our Service Technicians, managing maintenance and breakdown delivery, allocating resources, improving productivity and ensuring customers receive the standard of service expected from Forte.
An attractive senior-management remuneration package reflecting the significance, breadth and accountability of the role is available along with regular RDO's as an added benefit.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop and manage the Service Technician team.
Oversee maintenance, breakdowns, call-backs and lift shutdowns.
Allocate resources and ensure efficient, responsive service delivery.
Manage operational, financial and productivity performance.
Drive service quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Build strong customer relationships and resolve escalated issues.
Retain existing contracts and pursue new maintenance and lift opportunities.
Participate in the delegation of afterhours calls on a roster system
You will be a confident, accountable and commercially aware leader who can bring structure to a busy service operation.
Ideally, you will have:
Proven lift-industry management experience.
Substantial experience leading technicians or field-based service employees.
Strong customer relationship, negotiation and issue-resolution skills.
A practical commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel to customer sites throughout Victoria.
