Speech Pathologist

We’re looking for a passionate Speech Pathologist who thrives in a collaborative, evidence-based multidisciplinary environment and takes pride in helping children build the communication skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential. This role is suited to someone who enjoys taking initiative, continuously improving, and making meaningful and lasting contributions for children and families.

This role is available for either full time working 38 hours per week or part time working a minimum of 32 hours across our clinic and local schools in Peakhurst.Our clinics are open Monday to Saturday. Reporting to the Speech Pathology Team Leader, this Speech Pathologist position plays a key role in supporting our Speech Therapy team.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Success in this role will be measured through outcomes, collaboration, service quality, and contribution to team goals.

In this role, you will:

Clinical Service Delivery

• Conduct assessments with children and families to identify communication difficulties, speech and language needs, and appropriate support strategies.
• Develop individualised treatment plans in collaboration with families, setting clear goals and regularly monitoring each child’s progress.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that support children’s communication skills across clinic and school settings.

Professional Practice and Client Outcomes

• Maintain accurate and timely records, including session notes, assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, Medicare letters, NDIS documentation and funding summaries.
• Engage in reflective practice, clinical supervision and professional learning to ensure services remain aligned with current evidence-based paediatric speech pathology practice.
• Measure and record client progress, including pre and post-test measures where appropriate, to support quality outcomes for children and families.

Team and Operational Contribution

• Work closely with Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Educators, Customer Care, intake teams and other support functions to provide holistic care for children and families.
• Contribute to service quality, compliance and continuous improvement by meeting clinical, documentation, caseload and compliance expectations.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, school communities and external stakeholders through clear communication, collaboration and excellent customer service.

You enjoy working closely with children, families, schools and multidisciplinary teams and take pride in delivering high-quality therapy that helps children build their communication skills and confidence.

You will bring:

• Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology (Bachelor or Masters)
• Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia
• A strong understanding of evidence-based paediatric assessment and intervention, including speech, language and fluency disorders.
• Experience delivering assessment, intervention, treatment planning and progress monitoring for children and families.
• Strong organisational and time management capability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accountability
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, collaborative, and positive approach to work
• Willingness to travel with a current driver’s license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
