Trainer & Assessor – Cabinet Making & Shopfitting

At On Site Assessing Pty Ltd, we're passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. As a respected training provider, we deliver workplace-based training and assessment services to the cabinet making and shopfitting industries across Queensland.
We're seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker or Shopfitter to transition into a full-time Trainer & Assessor role. This flexible hybrid position combines workplace visits, learner support, industry engagement and working from home.

About the Role
You will deliver and assess:
MSF30322 – Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology, and/or
CPC30120 – Certificate III in Shopfitting
Working closely with apprentices and employers, you will provide practical, engaging training and assessment throughout the apprenticeship journey.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering and assessing nationally recognised training.
Conducting workplace visits and practical assessments.
Coaching and mentoring apprentices.
Maintaining learner records and compliance requirements.
Building strong relationships with employers and industry stakeholders.
Promoting training services and supporting business growth.
Participating in validation and continuous improvement activities.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Minimum 7 years' experience in Cabinet Making and/or Shopfitting.
A passion for mentoring and developing apprentices.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently.
Confidence using digital systems and online platforms.
A current Australian Driver Licence and willingness to travel.
Qualifications
Essential:
Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology, and/or
Certificate III in Shopfitting
Desirable:
TAE40116 (or equivalent) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
