West Coast Motorcycles is looking for an experienced Qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join our busy workshop team in Joondalup.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable mechanic with strong diagnostic abilities, excellent mechanical knowledge and a genuine passion for motorcycles.

You will be joining an experienced team and working across a range of motorcycles, carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and general workshop work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments to identify mechanical and electrical faults

• Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance

• Complete oil changes, tyre replacements, brake servicing and chain maintenance

• Repair and replace engine components, transmission systems, suspension and braking systems

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic and testing equipment

• Carry out repairs efficiently and to a high standard

• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) where required

• Fit accessories and aftermarket components

• Read and interpret technical service manuals, specifications and wiring diagrams

• Communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager regarding repairs, additional work, timelines and costs

• Accurately record work completed and parts used

• Maintain and organise workshop tools and equipment

• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures

• Assist other members of the workshop team when required

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A recognised trade qualification in motorcycle mechanics

• A minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience working as a motorcycle mechanic

• Strong knowledge of motorcycle engines, transmissions, braking, suspension and electrical systems

• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools

• The ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults

• The ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A reliable, punctual and safety-focused approach

• A valid open-class motorcycle licence

• Knowledge of current workplace health and safety requirements

Experience working across a range of motorcycle brands and models would be highly regarded.

Hours & Location

Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Saturdays: Rostered approximately one Saturday per month
