About the role
Wiseway Logistics (WWG) is an ASX listed fast growing international freight forwarding company, with a global footprint, with eleven cities across five countries. We are a licensed customs broker with custom bonded warehouses.
Due to continued business expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor – Seafreight to join our warehouse team in Sydney on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, sound warehouse and operational knowledge, and a strong focus on compliance, safety and regulatory requirements. You will be a motivated and organised leader with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The role includes:
Managing warehouse staff, including casual employees, workloads and rosters.
Overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Managing quarantine and customs-controlled warehouse operations.
Taking responsibility for the management and maintenance of a S77G licensed depot.
Acting as a key point of contact for Australian Border Force (ABF) and Quarantine during inspections.
Ensuring all goods, cargo and freight are accurately scanned, labelled and recorded within the warehouse management system.
Managing and sorting inbound and outbound freight to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Leading the unloading of freight from incoming transport carriers and sea freight containers.
Operating forklifts and assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
Ensuring all warehouse activities are conducted in strict accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures.
Ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment in accordance with WHS standards and company policies.
Working closely with senior management and warehouse staff to ensure smooth and effective operations.
Providing leadership, direction and support to warehouse team members.
Identifying and addressing operational issues promptly and escalating matters where required.
Performing other reasonable duties as directed by management.
Skills and Experience:
Current Forklift Licence – Essential.
Strong warehouse and operational experience.
Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role, or demonstrated readiness to step into a leadership position.
S77G licensed depot experience – Desirable.
Strong knowledge and understanding of warehouse compliance and regulatory requirements, particularly ABF and Quarantine requirements.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage a team.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Computer literacy and experience using warehouse management systems – Desirable.
Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and compliance.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
