Digital Solutions Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Digital Solutions Specialist to join our growing Technology team and play a key role in designing, developing and supporting digital solutions that improve efficiency, enhance client and employee experiences, and support our Group’s digital transformation strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, this role will work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technology partners to translate business requirements into scalable, practical and high-quality solutions. You will have the opportunity to apply modern technologies, including software development, system integrations and generative AI, to solve real business challenges within a dynamic financial services environment.

As our Group continues to grow, this role will be instrumental in improving systems, streamlining processes and enabling a consistent digital experience across our business.

About the Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with SMEs to identify, design and implement digital solutions that improve productivity and business outcomes
• Developing and supporting AI and automation initiatives to enhance workflows and operational efficiency
• Building and maintaining modern web applications, APIs and system integrations using technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Translating business requirements into fit-for-purpose technical solutions that are scalable, secure and sustainable
• Supporting the delivery, testing and deployment of solutions across development, test and production environments
• Contributing to the Group’s digital transformation roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintaining high standards of data integrity, cyber security and compliance across all solutions
• Working with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to deliver impactful outcomes

About You

You are a solutions-focused technology professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with business problem-solving. You will be comfortable working collaboratively with stakeholders and applying technology to create meaningful improvements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Understanding of modern web development practices, including REST APIs, authentication, authorisation and responsive UI design
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL or Oracle, including data modelling
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and modern deployment practices
• Experience building systems involving financial calculations, reporting outputs or document generation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements and deliver practical solutions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Experience

Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:

• Financial services, financial advice, superannuation or wealth management platforms (including Xplan, Hub24, Morningstar or Netwealth)
• Applying AI technologies to enhance products, automation or business processes
• Building secure, auditable systems within regulated environments
• Microsoft technology stack including Azure DevOps, Azure App Services, SharePoint, Power Platform and Power BI
• Supabase and modern cloud-based application development
• Developing cyber-secure applications suitable for penetration testing environments
