About You

Join one of Australia's leading technology distributors and play a key role in driving growth across our retail partner network. As a Business Development Manager (Retail), you'll manage a portfolio of key retail accounts, develop strong vendor and customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and work closely with internal teams to deliver outstanding results. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, growing revenue, and working in a fast-paced technology environment.

What you will do in the role

• Develop and grow sales opportunities across a portfolio of retail partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Deliver exceptional sales support, product advice, pricing, and solutions to customers.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Account Managers, Operations, and Inside Sales teams to achieve shared goals.
• Manage sales pipelines and provide accurate forecasting throughout the month and quarter.
• Conduct customer, vendor, and partner meetings to drive engagement and business growth.
• Deliver presentations, training sessions, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with partners.
• Promote vendor products, programs, promotions, and marketing initiatives to customers.
• Represent Dicker Data at customer, vendor, industry, and training events.

What you will need to succeed in the role

• Experience working with JB-Hi Fi in the buying team highly regarded.
• Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management.
• Experience managing sales pipelines and forecasting against targets.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience using ERP or CRM systems.
• Strong commercial acumen and numerical skills.
• Knowledge of the retail channel and technology industry will be highly regarded.
• A professional, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel and attend customer and vendor events as required.
