As we continue to invest in new product development and expand our engineering capability, we are seeking an experienced Senior R&D Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Carole Park.

About the Role

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, this is a hands-on engineering role responsible for leading the design, development and commercialisation of innovative products and technologies. You will manage projects from concept through to production, working closely with Manufacturing, Product Management and other engineering disciplines to deliver high quality, commercially successful products.

This position would suit someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, mentoring others and contributing to meaningful innovation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead innovative product development by designing, developing and commercialising new products while driving continuous improvement across our existing product range. You'll take ownership of projects from initial concept through to production release.
• Manage engineering projects from end to end, coordinating priorities, technical deliverables and project milestones to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and validate engineering solutions using CAD, FEA and CFD analysis, prototyping, testing and data driven validation to optimise product performance, manufacturability and reliability.
• Collaborate across the business with Manufacturing, Product Management, Supply Chain and fellow engineers to ensure designs are practical, production ready and successfully transitioned into manufacture.
• Drive innovation and technical excellence by researching emerging technologies, analysing competitor products, contributing to intellectual property and patent development, mentoring engineers and championing continuous improvement across engineering processes and product design.

About you:

You'll be an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, solving challenging technical problems and working collaboratively to deliver innovative outcomes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum five years' experience in product design, product development or research and development.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects from concept through to commercialisation.
• Strong experience using CAD software.
• Experience performing FEA and CFD analysis.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical system integration.
• Experience developing engineering documentation, technical reports and design calculations.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative approach with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
