About the role
Company Description JW Design fitouts, is a Perth based company.Role Description This is an on-site, contract role for a Ceiling Fixer / Partitioner based in Perth, WA. The role involves installing and fixing suspended ceilings, bulkheads, and partition wall systems in commercial and residential projects using drywall and related materials supplied by Jadco. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting plans, setting out framing, cutting and fitting boards, installing insulation where required, and ensuring all work meets Australian building standards and site safety requirements. The Ceiling Fixer / Partitioner will coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to maintain workflow, manage materials on site, and complete installations within agreed timeframes. The role may also involve minor repairs, adjustments, and finishing work to support quality outcomes and client satisfaction.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in ceiling fixing, partitioning, and drywall installation in commercial or residential construction environments.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, measure accurately, and set out framing and ceiling grids to specifications.Strong practical skills in the safe use of hand and power tools, working at heights, and handling building materials efficiently.Sound knowledge of Australian building codes, safety regulations, and site compliance requirements relevant to ceilings and partitions.Reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to complete tasks to a high standard with minimal supervision.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with site supervisors, builders, and other trades on active projects.Current White Card (Construction Induction), and any relevant trade qualifications or certifications in ceiling and wall systems are highly regarded.Own basic tools and transport suitable for attending on-site work across Perth and surrounding areas.
