Nomura’s Australian Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is looking to add a Senior Associate / Junior Vice President to the team to assist with domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. Prior FIG sector experience is not essential, the ideal candidate will have 4-7 years M&A experience, be naturally curious, looking to take the next step in their career, and able to leverage a positive, self-driven attitude to execute transactions and support marketing activities. Exposure to other products, including balance sheet lending, will be highly regarded. Job Responsibilities Able to lead or is beginning to gain exposure to leading M&A execution and management of workstreams. Develop and review valuation models, pro-forma financial statements, and comparable company analysis. Manage due diligence and transaction processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and own marketing materials and client presentations, and support client relationship management. Conduct market and industry research. Manage, mentor, and train junior members of the team. Job Requirements Minimum of 4-7 years of Investment Banking or other boutique advisory experience, with a focus on M&A advisory. Advanced financial modelling and financial analytical skills. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. The ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines. A strong sense of personal integrity and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts.
