Need a kitchen that moves fast, thinks big and doesn’t do boring?
Mr. Miyagi is on the hunt for a Chef de Partie to join the crew at one of Melbourne’s most iconic restaurants.
Since 2013, Mr. Miyagi has been putting a playful spin on Japanese-inspired dining right in the heart of Chapel Street, Windsor. We’re known for bold flavours, packed services, a seriously good night out, and a restaurant energy that has kept guests lining up for more than a decade. Casual-but-fancy is our thing. High standards are non-negotiable. Good vibes matter too.

What you’ll be doing
Running your section with confidence, consistency and care.
Delivering high-quality dishes during fast-paced lunch and dinner services.
Supporting senior chefs to maintain the standards Mr. Miyagi is known for.
Leading by example and helping develop the next generation of chefs.
Keeping prep, service, stock levels and section organisation sharp.
Working clean, fast and safely with a strong understanding of food safety standards.
Contributing to a positive kitchen culture where teamwork matters and egos don’t.
What we’re looking for
Experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi ready to step up.
Proven success in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
Strong leadership, communication and delegation skills.
Experience with ordering, stock control and par levels.
A calm head under pressure and a strong sense of urgency during service.
A genuine interest in Japanese, Asian or fusion cuisine.
A team-first attitude, solid work ethic and the kind of energy that lifts the pass.
The ability to work autonomously while staying connected to the wider kitchen team.
