About the role
Transform lives, every single day
Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, support and strategy to make it happen.
We're a well-respected not-for-profit that's been serving society's most vulnerable for 170 years. Each year, we achieve life-changing outcomes for more than 40,000 people through person-centred support.
As our Community Engagement Officer - Peer Support, you'll be key to our mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities. You'll join a compassionate, respectful and purpose-driven team where our values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence are lived every day.
Your opportunity
Based at the Brookvale Wellbeing Hub, you will build trusted relationships with young people aged 12-24, their families, community organisations and local services. Drawing on your lived experience of mental health challenges or recovery, you will help young people feel welcome, navigate support options and strengthen their connection to care.
You will combine community engagement with direct peer support, helping raise awareness of the Hub, develop referral pathways and deliver practical support through one-to-one engagement, groups, events and workshops.
With integrity and resilience, you will:
What you'll bring
You are an approachable and community-minded practitioner who can build trust with young people, families and diverse stakeholders. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively and understand the importance of safe, person-centred and evidence-based mental health support.
You share Anglicare's values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence and can embed them in the way you engage with young people, families and community partners.

We're many services, with one purpose: to meet people where they are and walk with them. At Anglicare, we believe everyone is Made for Connection - with God, with each other and with the places we call home. But sometimes life unravels.
