We are looking for an Underwriting Servicing Office Specialist to join our Underwriting team on a permanent full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in the insurance industry. No previous insurance experience is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

The Opportunity

As an Underwriting Servicing Office Specialist, you will be part of our Underwriting team and provide day-to-day support to Underwriters, brokers, and customers.

A significant part of this role supports our Strata insurance portfolio, where insurance products are distributed through an external partner, and underwritten in partnership with another insurer based overseas. You will work closely with both organisations, helping to ensure insurance policies are processed accurately, documentation is prepared on time, and enquiries are handled efficiently.

You will also get to assist with other insurance products, which will provide you with valuable exposure to underwriting and insurance operations across a variety of insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Underwriting team.
• Prepare and issue policy documentation and customer correspondence.
• Process policy transactions, including new business, renewals, policy changes, and cancellations.
• Maintain accurate customer and policy records within company systems.
• Assist with reports, data entry, and policy administration activities.
• Follow up outstanding information, documentation, and premium payments.
• Respond to enquiries from external stakeholders, such as brokers, customers, insurance partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Support the ongoing administration of the Strata insurance portfolio.
• Assist with underwriting activities and policy reviews under the guidance of senior team members.
• Ensure premiums are paid within agreed terms.
• Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For: We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working in a team, and has an interest in building a career within the insurance industry. Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in an office administration or customer service role (preferred but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence using technology and learning new systems.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A degree or tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.
