Vacant position

• We are looking for passionate and motivated Centre Chef / Cook and Kitchen Assistant to come and join our centre to provide healthy and nutritious meals to the children in our care.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines and any specific dietary requirements or allergies.

• Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring that general day to day procedures are followed.

• Manage inventory, order food supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

• Collaborate with the centre director and staff to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs of children.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and Centre's policies.

What you will bring:

• Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or school setting.

• Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary needs.

• Strong organization and time management skills.

• Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check (can be easily done online).

• Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
