About Us
Maitland Hospital is a modern acute care facility providing a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services. Our services include Emergency, Intensive Care, Adult Inpatient, Perioperative, Oncology, Renal, Women’s and Children’s Health, Outpatient Clinics, Dental, Imaging, and Pathology.
Our After-Hours Nurse Managers (AHNM) are integral members of the Senior Nursing & Midwifery Leadership Team. Working in partnership with the Director of Nursing & Midwifery, Operational Nurse Managers, Nursing Unit Managers, Midwifery Unit Managers, and Nurse Educators, the AHNM provides leadership and support across the hospital, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care at all times.
About The Role
The AHNM is responsible for the operational management and clinical leadership of the hospital during the after-hours period. This pivotal role involves:
Coordinating patient access and flow across the facilityManaging the nursing and midwifery workforce to meet service needsResponding to incidents and leading disaster and emergency management as requiredMonitoring and managing KPIs to ensure service delivery targets are metCollaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery
About You
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic nurse leader who is committed to excellence in patient care and staff support. You will demonstrate:

Requirements
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered NurseRelevant postgraduate qualifications in clinical leadership and management, and/or demonstrated leadership/management experience deemed appropriate for the role.

To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
