Position: Resident Service Technician - Bus Air Conditioners If working in the transport industry is for you then the available opportunity to come work at QTK Group maybe just the thing? We are looking for a Resident Refrigeration Technician / Automotive Electrician to join the QTK Bus Australia Team. You will be performing various tasks relating to the service and installation of bus air conditioning equipment in the New Castle Region. Technicians in Port MacQuarie, Nelson Bay and Old Bar and Coffs Harbour are encouraged to apply!

About the role:

• Service Bus Air Conditioners in the field 

• Install Bus Air Conditioners at OEM facilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, system repairs, onsite installations, and maintenance.

• Respond to callouts for equipment fault-finding and repair throughout Coffs Harbour/Central Coast and surrounding areas.

• Occasional travel to regional towns with short stays.

• Maintain job reports on a tablet.

• Complete prestart checks and other required documentation.

• Keep the company vehicle clean and presentable.

• Maintain up-to-date customer records.

• Support sales activities by providing equipment assembly, testing, warranty inspections, and repairs.

• Adhere to QTK’s safety and operational procedures.

About you:

• AAC02 Refrigerant Handling License

• Working at Heights Certification (can obtain once joined)

• Excellent customer service skills

• Self-Motivated with a positive can-do attitude

• Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to learn quickly

• Good computer and communication skills

• Flexible approach to working hours as we provide 24 x 7 support

• Current Drivers License

• Positive and proactive approach to safety

While experience in bus air conditioning is preferred, Qualified Auto Electricians and Mechanics are invited to apply who are looking for a change as training will be provided. 

Don't hold an AAC02 Refrigerant Handling License? Still invited to apply if willing to undertake a 6-12mth traineeship or RPL.
