Requirements:

— Senior experience in payments, custody, financial services operations, banking, fintech, digital assets, or regulated financial infrastructure.
— Experience with crypto custody, digital asset platforms, stablecoins, wallets, exchanges, or blockchain-based payment infrastructure.
— Ability to act as a Responsible Manager for AFSL organisational competence purposes.
— Strong understanding of non-cash payment facilities, custody/depository services, client asset protection, and regulated payment flows.
— Experience with client money/client asset segregation, operational controls, reconciliation, settlement, and partner oversight.
— Experience working with ASIC-regulated entities, AFSL obligations, compliance teams, auditors, and legal advisers.
— Required expertise and qualifications to satisfy relevant regulator requirements for the position
— Strong understanding of risk management, incident escalation, outsourcing oversight, and audit readiness.
— Must be based in Australia
— Experience with AUSTRAC, AML/CTF, KYC, sanctions, Travel Rule, and financial crime controls.
— Experience with banking partners, payment service providers, custodians, liquidity venues, or wallet infrastructure providers.
— Credit licence / consumer credit experience

Responsibilities:

— Act as Responsible Manager for payments, NCP, ACL, custody, and client asset protection authorisations.
— Support AFSL / NCP / ACL and custody licence application, variation, and ASIC-facing materials.
— Communicate with the relevant regulatory bodies
— Provide organisational competence evidence and input for the licensing process.
— Own the payments, credit and custody control framework
— Review and document fiat and digital asset flows, including client funds, corporate funds, settlement accounts, wallets, and third-party providers.
— Ensure client assets and corporate assets are clearly segregated and governed.
— Review custody arrangements, wallet access controls, transaction approval workflows, and settlement procedures.
— Oversee partner due diligence and ongoing monitoring for banks, custodians, payment providers, wallet providers, and settlement partners.
— Work with legal, compliance, treasury, operations, and global teams to ensure controls are properly documented and implemented.
— Support incident response planning for payment failures, custody issues, wallet access events, settlement delays, and partner outages.
