Buildings and Services Manager

Yarra Valley Grammar in Ringwood is a leading, coeducational school in the Anglican tradition catering for students from Early Learning to Year 12.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, suitably qualified and experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to this very important position in our Buildings and Services Team.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to excel and establish themselves in this challenging, autonomous and wide reaching role.

The Buildings and Services Manager is required to maintain the School’s buildings and buildings services to a very high standard, ensuring the best experience for our students, staff and school community.

In particular, the successful applicant will be required to perform tasks in the following areas:

1.                   Operations

2.                   Buildings and Services Maintenance Contract Management

3.                   Management of Budgets

4.                   Leadership and Management of Department Staffing

5.                   Implementing Best Practice and Sustainability

6.                   Technical

7.                   OH&S and Emergency Procedure

8.                   Other Duties including Child Safe Standards

Previous experience in a Buildings and Services position within an independent school setting is preferred.

The role is full time, across the full year and may involve some work at the School’s property in Coongulla, Gippsland.   Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative and to prioritise tasks, to best operate and promote the venue to internal and external users. 

A salary commensurate with experience will be offered and includes a fully maintained vehicle.  The successful applicant must have a current Working with Children Check.
