About the role
Love dentistry but ready for a practice that genuinely values its staff?
At New Farm Dental Studio we're building something a little different.
We're not the biggest practice.
We're not a corporate.
And we're okay with that.
Instead, we've created a calm, beautifully designed practice, where exceptional patient care comes first and our team actually enjoys coming to work.
We are looking a Dental Assistant with around 1-2 years experience who wants more than "just another dental job".
You'll work alongside an experienced, supportive team using modern technology while caring for wonderful patients who value quality dentistry.
If you're kind, reliable, eager to learn and proud of your work, we'd love to meet you.
The Role
This is a four-day position with a combination of chairside assisting and practice support duties.
Your week will include:
2 days working directly alongside the principal dentist
2 days as a sterilisation, hygiene nurse and floater throughout the practice
This variety allows you to build strong clinical partnerships while also supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Your contribution will directly influence the patient experience and the reputation of the practice. We are looking for someone who understands that a dental assistant is not simply support staff, but an essential part of maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
This position will suit someone who:
Takes pride in presentation and precision
Is consistently punctual and dependable
Communicates clearly and respectfully
Works calmly and efficiently in a busy environment
Enjoys variety within their role
Is seeking long-term stability rather than short-term movement
What We Offer
For the right candidate, this role provides:
A stable, long-term position
A structured and respectful working environment
Clear expectations and predictable days
An established patient base in a quality location
Competitive remuneration aligned with experience
An optional Saturday half-day once per month may be available for those interested in additional hours, however this is not a requirement for the role.
Essential Criteria
Minimum 2 years of full-time dental assisting experience, including chairside, sterilisation and front desk duties
Experience with D4W or similar practice software
Strong communication skills
Confidence managing daily clinical flow
Reliable transport
Australian work rights are required for this position
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a paid trial day. This allows both parties to assess technical capability, professionalism and cultural fit.
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and why this role suits you.
To help us identify applicants who have read the advertisement carefully, please address your cover letter to Sonia.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
