About the role
Job Summary:
Broad scope with mentorship & development - progress your career!
Get incredible exposure to Australia & NZ’s hospitality industry
High-performing, hungry & creative team with zero stuffy corporate vibes
About the role and you:
You’re a people person - you love meeting new people, building relationships and having a chat. You’re confident enough to pick up the phone and call someone you’ve never spoken to before, curious enough to ask great questions and switched on enough to actually listen to the answers.
You’re incredibly organised and good at managing yourself. You know how to take charge of your calendar, juggle competing priorities and figure out what needs your attention first. You don’t need someone constantly telling you what to do next - you plan ahead, stay on top of things and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
You might still be pretty green in your career, but you’re ambitious & you know you’ve got a lot more in you. You want to learn, be given responsibility and work alongside someone awesome who will teach you the commercial side of business.
And you love food!
You’re constantly trying new restaurants, sending your friends places to eat and getting excited when somewhere new opens. Working with some of Australia’s best restaurants, bars and hospitality venues sounds significantly more exciting than selling something you couldn't care less about.
This role is Junior Relationships Coordinator for Best Restaurants.
You’ll become the Commercial Manager’s sidekick, helping manage and grow relationships with Best Restaurants' venue partners across Australia and New Zealand.
There’s a bit of everything in this role - you’ll help onboard new vendors, manage listings, experiences and specials, keep HubSpot organised and make sure existing partners are well looked after.
You’ll research cool new venues across Australia & NZ, reach out to them, start conversations and help bring them into the network. You’ll support prospective corporate and vendor sales, get exposure to the sales pipeline and help come up with smart ways to generate opportunities through things like events, webinars and other marketing-to-sales ideas.
Essentially, your job is to help create opportunities so the Commercial Manager can close them.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants more than just a junior admin job. You’ll get exposure to relationships, sales, marketing, partnerships and commercial strategy, with plenty of room to take on more as you prove yourself.
The team is young, casual, entrepreneurial and seriously high-performing. They constantly throw ideas around, challenge each other, move quickly and have a lot of fun doing it. They also genuinely love hospitality.
What we care about is that you’re confident, curious, great with details and willing to have a crack. You question things rather than blindly following them, you take initiative and when someone gives you an opportunity, you take it and run with it.
The role is full-time, based in Darlinghurst, with some WFH flexibility. With the broader team working a hybrid model of three days in the office and two from home and employees get 50% off at 500+ client restaurants.
If you love people, love food and are hungry to build a career in the commercial side of an exciting hospitality business, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now!
