About the role

A GP Practice in Burleigh Heads seeks dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst providing essential nursing support to our general practice operations. You will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and supporting our clinical team in a fast-paced medical environment.

What you'll be doing

• Providing direct patient care and undertaking nursing assessments in line with clinical protocols

• Supporting general practitioners with clinical procedures and patient consultations

• Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and documentation

• Administering medications and vaccinations as per medical directives

• Taking patient vital signs and monitoring patient health status

• Preparing treatment areas and ensuring infection control standards are maintained

• Communicating effectively with patients to ensure they understand their care and treatment plans

• Contributing to the smooth running of the practice and assisting with administrative duties as required

What we're looking for

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse

• A relevant nursing qualification and demonstrated clinical experience in a primary healthcare or general practice setting

• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in patient assessment and care delivery

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, doctors and colleagues

• A commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Current immunisations and a clear police check (as required for healthcare roles)

• Preferred experience in general practice nursing or community health settings
