Enrolled Nurse - GP Practice

Lagoon Medical Centre is located South of Perth in Beeliar and Coogee. We are seeking a Permanent Part-Time Enrolled Nurse to join our healthcare team. The rostered days will be Tuesday 8am to 5pm, Wednesday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide essential nursing support across our medical and surgical services, working flexibly as required to meet patient care demands. This role is vital to ensuring our patients receive compassionate, high-quality care in a community-focused healthcare setting.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting registered nurses and medical practitioners in delivering patient care across medical and surgical services

• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration rates

• Supporting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming and mobility assistance

• Preparing and maintaining patient AIR Records, GPCCMP & Health assessments and other preventative health initiatives

• Assisting with wound care, dressing changes and other nursing procedures under supervision

• Communicating effectively with patients, families and members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care

• Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and documentation

• Contributing to infection control, cold chain management and workplace safety protocols

• Maintaining treatment workflows

What we're looking for:

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse

• Completion of a recognised Enrolled Nurse qualification

• Medication Competency

• Knowledge of general medical and surgical nursing practices and procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Compassion and patience when working with patients from diverse backgrounds and circumstances

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision from registered nurses and medical practitioners

• Sound organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and safety standards

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Flexibility to work casual hours as required by the centre

• Understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy

• Previous experience in a general medical or surgical nursing setting is highly desirable
