About the role
Sydney | Full-time | $75,000–$90,000 + super
Elexia Communications is looking for a sharp, curious and highly capable Content Producer to join our Sydney team.
We are a specialist strategic communications and reputation consultancy working across Australia’s energy and infrastructure sectors.
Our clients include renewable energy developers, generators, energy technology companies and major infrastructure businesses.
We help organisations operating in complex and highly scrutinised environments communicate clearly, build trust and protect and strengthen their reputations.
Elexia specialises in strategic communications, media relations, corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement, issues and crisis communications and content for the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Elexia is regarded as the leading specialist advisory in the Australian energy and infrastructure industry.
This is not a job producing filler content.
You will work closely with senior consultants and clients to turn complicated subjects into clear, compelling communications across social, media, digital and corporate channels.
You’ll work on real projects: solar farms, batteries, generation, energy technology and major infrastructure.
Write and produce LinkedIn and social content
Draft media releases, articles, case studies and website copy
Create simple graphics and social assets
Produce media monitoring and client reports
Help manage content calendars and publishing schedules
Research energy, infrastructure and public policy issues
Support media campaigns, events and major project announcements
Help develop video, photography and other creative content
Work directly with senior consultants and increasingly with clients
Help create authoritative digital content that strengthens how our clients — and Elexia itself — are understood online and by AI-powered search and research tools
You’ll also gain exposure to corporate reputation, stakeholder strategy, issues management, media strategy and major project communications.
You might currently work in communications, PR, journalism, content, social media or a related field.
You do not need to be an energy expert. You do need to be interested in the world and willing to learn quickly.
You’ll probably have around 2–5 years’ experience and be someone who:
Writes exceptionally well
Has strong news judgement and curiosity
Understands social media, particularly LinkedIn
Can make complicated subjects understandable
Notices detail and cares about accuracy
Is interested in how content performs across search, social and emerging AI platforms
Is comfortable working at pace
Can manage several pieces of work without losing track of them
Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told every next step
Wants responsibility and the opportunity to grow
Experience with Canva, Adobe tools, video, photography or digital publishing is useful but not essential.
Agency, journalism, corporate communications or in-house content experience would all translate well.
Elexia is a growing Australian consultancy with deep experience in the energy sector.
We work with organisations developing and operating some of the technologies and infrastructure shaping Australia’s energy transition.
Because we are a specialist team, you will work directly alongside experienced journalists and senior communications advisers rather than disappearing into a large agency structure.
You will see your work published, work directly on client campaigns and quickly develop experience across content, media, reputation and strategic communications.
We are also increasingly working at the intersection of communications, reputation, search and artificial intelligence - helping organisations understand how they are represented when people use AI tools to research companies, industries and issues.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to become a genuinely rounded modern communications practitioner.
Elexia Communications is the leading Australian strategic communications and reputation consultancy specialising in energy, renewables and infrastructure.
We advise companies on corporate reputation, media relations, stakeholder engagement, issues and crisis communications, executive positioning, social licence and strategic content.
Our work spans major energy projects, emerging technologies, corporate communications and complex public issues.
Location: Sydney
Employment: Full-time
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 + super, depending on experience
If you’re a strong writer who wants to work on consequential projects, learn quickly and take on real responsibility, we’d like to hear from you.
