Flooring Installer/Handyman

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Flooring Installer/Handyman to join our team in a full-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out flooring installation, preparation, and repair works, along with a range of general handyman and maintenance tasks. Vinyl sheet installation experience will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Uplift of existing flooring
• Installation of entrance matting
• Install and replace skirting boards, trims, transition strips and mouldings
• Vinyl plank and vinyl sheet jobs and maintenance (including patching and weld rod)
• Carpet jobs and maintenance (including patching and re stretching)
• Complete basic caulking and finishing works
• General handyman work

About you

• Previous experience in flooring installation, building maintenance, carpentry, handyman work or a related trade
• Physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including lifting and moving materials
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Someone willing to learn new tasks and work closely with other team members and subcontractors
• You're accountable for your work and complete jobs with a sense of pride
• You hold a current drivers licence
• You hold or are willing to obtain a police check, working with children check and a white card
