Pharmacist – Full-time Position at Southwest Hospital Pharmacy

Location: St John of God Bunbury Hospital, South West Health Campus

Southwest Hospital Pharmacy, located within the South West Health Campus, is offering a fantastic opportunity for a passionate pharmacist to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a motivated individual eager to take on new challenges and expand their skills in a unique hospital setting.

Role Overview

As a Pharmacist, your primary responsibilities will include:

💊 Dispensing & Counselling – Provide expert pharmacy services to outpatients, community patients, and inpatients, ensuring high-quality medication management and advice.
🏥 Clinical Ward Services – Participate in clinical ward-based pharmacy activities, including medication history taking, medication reconciliation, clinical review, discharge planning, and supporting safe and effective medication use for inpatients.
💉 Vaccination Services – Administer vaccines to eligible patients as part of our comprehensive health services.
🤝 Collaboration – Work closely with ward pharmacists, technicians, and interns, as well as other hospital-based healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
🧪 Oncology Insight – While not directly working in the aseptic suite, you will collaborate with the oncology team involved in cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic drug formulations.

Position Details

🕐 Full-time, Permanent Role
📅 Rotational Weekend & On-call Duties – Typically one in six weekends (Saturday 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Reporting to: Director of Pharmacy
