Front Office Supervisor - Overnight

AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne Southbank is seeking an engaging, creative and passionate Front Office Supervisor (overnight) to join our established and dynamic Front Office team in a Part Time capacity.

Position Summary

• Supervise the overnight front office, and wider hotel operation, supporting them with general operational tasks.  

• Be an expert on the hotel and the surrounding area, know it inside and out to exceed guest expectations. 

• Assist late arrival guests and early departing guests through the overnight check in and departure process. 

• Manage and coordinate daily reports.

• Manage hand overs between departments. 

• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. 

• Take guest reservations and perform cash handling & credit card responsibilities. 

• Oversee service standards whilst identifying and implementing improvement initiatives. 

• Be a cultural innovator by providing motivation and support to our overnight front office staff.   

• Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely

• Accept and record wake-up calls, delivering to the right department

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience with OPERA property management system or similar

• Previous experience working in guest relations or Front Office

• An eye for detail, with a data detailed mindset. 

• Ability to work autonomously 

• Relevant experience in a team leaders or supervisory role.

• Enthusiastic to escalate and grow your career. 

• A passion for hospitality

• Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment. 

• Availability to work accross a 7 day roster including weekends and public holidays

• Full working rights in Australia.

• A true night owl - overnight shifts are from 11PM to 7AM. Experience with OPERA property management system or similar
