Position Overview
QFS Solutions is seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Civil Operator / Labourer to join our growing team.
We are ideally looking for candidates with experience operating civil construction plant and equipment, landfill gas and leachate infrastructure, HDPE pipeline installation, environmental projects, and general construction labouring duties.

Employment Type
Casual employment with regular ongoing work available.
Opportunity to transition to a permanent full-time position following the successful completion of a six (6) month probation period.
Ongoing employment will be based on performance, leadership capability, attendance, reliability, and compliance with company and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be involved in:
Operating construction plant and equipment, including excavators, Posi-Tracks, loaders, rollers, and other civil construction machinery.
Assisting with trenching, installation, and backfilling of HDPE pipelines.
Electrofusion and butt welding of HDPE pipe systems.
Installing, servicing, and maintaining pumps and associated infrastructure.
Completing general labouring and construction duties as required.
Manual handling of materials, tools, and equipment.
Assisting supervisors and leading hands with project activities.
Reading and interpreting plans and drawings.
Setting up and using laser levels and construction equipment.
Conducting pre-start inspections and basic maintenance on plant and equipment.
Following project specifications and installation procedures.
Working safely in accordance with SWMS, JSEAs, and company safety procedures.
Maintaining good housekeeping and site cleanliness.
Travelling and working away from home when required.
Minimum Requirements
Construction White Card.
Current Driver's Licence.
Ability to perform manual labour and work outdoors in varying conditions.
Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Ability and willingness to travel and work away from home as required.

Industry Experience
Operating excavators, Posi-Tracks, loaders, rollers, and civil construction plant.
Civil construction and earthworks.
Trenching and pipeline installation.
Landfill construction projects.
Landfill gas extraction systems.
Leachate collection infrastructure.
Environmental infrastructure projects.
HDPE pipeline installation and welding.
GPS machine control and laser levelling systems.
Hours of Work and Travel Requirements
Standard hours are 38 hours per week.
Overtime, weekend work, public holiday work, and extended hours may be required to meet operational and project requirements.
Employees may be required to work on rostered projects both within Queensland and interstate.
Rosters may vary depending on project requirements and can include extended periods working away from home.
Accommodation, travel arrangements, and applicable Living Away from Home Allowance (LAHA) will be provided on eligible projects in accordance with company policy.
Roster schedules and project requirements will be communicated in advance wherever reasonably practicable.
