Hospitality Finance & Operations Manager

Kahan Group is seeking an experienced hospitality-focused finance professional to join our growing business and help take pressure off day-to-day operational admin while improving financial reporting, systems and accountability across the group.

This is not a standard bookkeeping role.

We are looking for someone who understands hospitality operations, can work closely with venue management and ownership, and can help build accurate, real-time reporting systems that actually support decision making.

You will work across multiple hospitality businesses including high-volume venues, events and entertainment operations.

About the Role

This role is a mix of:

• management accounting

• bookkeeping oversight

• systems management

• operational reporting

• process improvement

• finance administration leadership

You will be expected to take ownership of reporting accuracy, improve workflows and reduce operational admin pressure on venue management and directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Weekly P&L reporting with true and accurate financial visibility

• Cashflow and creditor reporting

• Oversight of payables, invoice processing and reconciliations

• Weekly labour and COGS reporting

• Integration and management of hospitality systems

• Identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing better processes

• Supporting venue management with financial accountability

• Leading projects to minimise manual admin work across operations

• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and business planning

• Working closely with ownership on strategic finance projects

Systems Experience Required

Strong experience with:

• Xero

• Bepoz

• Lightyear

• Cooking the Books

Hospitality finance experience is essential.

• Minimum 3+ years hospitality finance/accounting experience

• Strong understanding of venue operations

• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment

• High attention to detail

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Someone proactive who solves problems rather than waiting to be told what to do

• Experience improving systems and workflows highly regarded
