About the role
The Warehouse Storeperson is responsible for warehouse activities from receipt through to storage, picking, packing and dispatch, while maintaining inventory accuracy, product integrity, safety and customer service standards. The role requires a reliable, accurate and proactive member of the Operations team, taking ownership of warehouse operations and contributing to agreed warehouse KPIs.
Key responsibilities
Pick stock accurately against sales orders and customer requirements, pack products safely to prevent damage during handling and transport
Verify product codes, descriptions, quantities and serial numbers before dispatch, and ensure completed orders are correctly labelled and staged
Meet designated picking and dispatch deadlines, particularly for urgent or time-critical orders
Receive and unload incoming deliveries safely and efficiently, checking against purchase orders and supplier documentation
Verify quantities, product codes, serial numbers and condition of goods, and identify and report shortages, overages, damage or incorrect deliveries immediately
Accurately record all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, picks, dispatches, returns and adjustments, and maintain accurate inventory locations
Handle all products with appropriate care, particularly high-value, fragile or electronic equipment, and use warehouse equipment safely where authorised.
Participate in scheduled full stock-takes and cycle counts, accurately counting and verifying physical inventory
Complete receiving, dispatch, transfer and inventory documentation accurately and promptly
Monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries and communicate expected arrival and departure times to customers and stakeholders
Coordinate the movement and supply of goods to internal and external customers, ensuring orders are prepared and available when required
Develop understanding of export processes and requirements, and prepare export orders accurately within required deadlines
Assemble products, equipment or kits in accordance with established instructions, ensuring all components are present and complete quality checks
Immediately report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, incorrect deliveries, system issues, safety concerns and operational problems to appropriate managers
Perform other warehouse, logistics and operational tasks reasonably requested by management
Ability to travel between warehouse locations in the Northern Suburbs
