Recovery Support Worker

As a Recovery Support Worker within our Individualised Community Living Strategy (ICLS) team, you will walk alongside people experiencing mental health challenges, helping them build confidence, strengthen connections and achieve their goals.

This is more than a support role. It's an opportunity to help people shape their own lives, bridge gaps in their communities and create positive change, one conversation and one step at a time.

About the Role

As a Recovery Support Worker, you will provide practical, person-centred support to people living in the community. Working across the Perth metropolitan area, you will support individuals to increase independence, build social connections, develop life skills and work towards their recovery goals.

This casual position offers flexibility and variety, with opportunities to work across a range of locations and support needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing recovery-focused, strengths-based support in community settings
• Assisting people to develop daily living skills and maintain their independence
• Supporting individuals to access community activities, services and appointments
• Building positive, respectful and professional relationships
• Working collaboratively with participants, families, carers and other service providers
• Completing accurate case notes and documentation
• Promoting choice, dignity and self-determination in all aspects of support

What You'll Bring

We're looking for people who are compassionate, adaptable and committed to supporting others on their recovery journey.

You will have:

• A minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health or Community Services or a related human services qualification
• Experience working in mental health, community services, or a related field (desirable)
• A recovery-focused and person-centred approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
• Sound digital literacy and record keeping skills
• A current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain, where required)
• A current Western Australian driver's licence
• Your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• The ability and willingness to travel throughout the Perth metropolitan area

We have multiple casual positions available, working between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Role Requirements  

Successful candidates will be required to provide all of the following

• National Police Clearance (no older than six months)
• Working with Children Check
• Current Driver's Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Evidence of working rights within Australia
