About the role
Strike Energy Ltd is seeking a Senior Land Access and Heritage Adviser to join our team in West Perth. This is a key role responsible for coordinating land access, stakeholder engagement and cultural heritage activities that support our exploration, development and production operations across Western Australia.
Reporting to the Approvals Manager, you will work closely with project, environmental, legal and operational teams to secure and maintain access arrangements, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Engagement, Land Access & Heritage
Build and maintain effective relationships with landowners, occupiers, Traditional Owner groups, government agencies and other key stakeholders.
Lead stakeholder engagement activities, including consultations, negotiations, project briefings, site visits and issue resolution.
Negotiate, secure and administer land access arrangements, including access and compensation agreements, easements, licences, permits and other tenure requirements.
Coordinate cultural heritage activities, including stakeholder engagement, surveys, clearances, agreement negotiations and approvals.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and manage land access and heritage agreements, ensuring project commitments are met.
Identify and manage land access, tenure and heritage risks, implementing practical mitigation strategies to support project delivery.
Compliance, Risk Management & Approvals
Ensure compliance with land access, cultural heritage and environmental requirements.
Manage agreements, approvals, compensation obligations, renewals and cultural heritage commitments.
Support project approvals and provide advice on land access, heritage and stakeholder matters.
Maintain accurate compliance records and promote strong health and safety outcomes.
Land Information & Reporting
Utilise GIS and land tenure systems to support land access planning and management.
Monitor agreement obligations, milestones and renewal dates.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to support project planning, compliance and decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Land Management, Environmental Science, Law, or related disciplines.
Proven experience in land acquisition, land access negotiations, or land administration within the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of Western Australian land tenure systems, relevant legislation, and regulations pertaining to the oil and gas sector.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in managing land data and documents.
Knowledge of Aboriginal heritage as well as cultural heritage management and processes in Western Australia.
Experience engaging with Traditional Owner groups and heritage consultants is desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in using GIS software and other relevant computer applications.
Understanding of health, safety, and risk management practices in the context of land access.
Full Australian working rights.
Current and valid driver's licence.
Flexibility to travel throughout Western Australia's Mid-West region for stakeholder meetings and site activities.
