We are seeking a Property Officer to join our team, playing a hands-on role in managing a diverse portfolio of organisational properties.
About The Role
As the Property Officer, you'll manage the day-to-day operations of an allocated portfolio of leased, licensed and owned properties - ensuring they are safe, compliant, well maintained, and fit for service delivery.
You’ll coordinate property searches, site openings and closures, maintenance, contractors, security systems, and administration within established frameworks. Working closely with the Property Team, you’ll drive compliance, WHS outcomes, and accurate records.
We are currently recruiting one full-time 12 month fixed term (potential on going) position Based in South Melbourne, VIC.

Key Responsibilities
As a Property Officer, you will:
Manage the day‑to‑day operations of an allocated property portfolio in line with organisational frameworks.Coordinate property searches, site openings and closures, utilities, access arrangements, and documentation to support continuous service delivery.Oversee planned and reactive maintenance and minor works, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance.Manage contractor engagement, supporting compliance, performance, and safe work practices.Promote property‑level WHS compliance through proactive risk identification and issue escalation.Maintain accurate property, maintenance, contractor, and security records across organisational systems.Work closely with the Property Team and Regional Property Coordinator to deliver consistent property outcomes.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in Property and/or Facilities Management.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Customer‑focused, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.Highly organised, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.Proven ability to work collaboratively, with sound judgement when working independently.High proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
