Civil / Structural Draftsperson

Lynskey Structural Consultants Pty. Ltd/ Civil / Structural Draftsperson   We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Civil / Structural Engineering Draftsperson to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.   The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed structural drawings and construction documentation, assisting engineers with project delivery, and ensuring all drafting work complies with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications.

Task & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain civil and structural drawings and technical documentation for a range of engineering projects. Assist Civil and Structural Engineers with drafting, modelling and project documentation activities. Develop accurate 2D and 3D structural models using CAD and BIM software.

Coordinate documentation requirements with clients, architects, builders and other project stakeholders. Review and update drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance and project requirements are met. Support project delivery through site inspections and technical documentation assistance.

Maintain drafting standards, document control procedures and quality assurance requirements. Contribute to the successful delivery of residential, commercial and industrial engineering projects.   Key Tasks:   Assisting a Civil and Structural Engineer in preparing documentation for civil and structural works, such as renovations and extensions to housing, new high- and low-rise residential buildings, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, and other structures.

Creating accurate and detailed drawings, such as sketches, plans, elevations, sections, and reinforcing details for concrete, timber, and steelwork frames. Producing civil and structural documentation for commercial developments, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and standards. Working closely with clients, architects, builders and project managers to prepare sketches and documentation for tendering and pricing.

Regularly reviewing and revising drawings based on feedback from construction workers, and incorporating any necessary changes. Developing detailed 2D/3D structural models using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software. Undertaking site inspections during construction.
