Entry-Level IT Technician – APCO Service Stations

Full-time | Based in Geelong, Victoria

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person with a genuine interest in IT to join our Tech Team. This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their career who’s keen to learn and grow in a hands-on support role.

You’ll be working alongside a supportive team, helping resolve day-to-day technical issues for our stores and head office, assisting with IT operations, and gradually building your skills across systems, security, and project work.

·        Log and help resolve IT-related issues (we’ll teach you how!).

·        Assist with basic troubleshooting of hardware and software problems (with a focus on retail).

·        Help set up new equipment (POS, EFTPOS terminals, Self-serve registers, computers, phones, tablets, etc.).

·        Contribute to projects and system upgrades — learn by doing.

·        Support the broader team with admin tasks and system checks.

·        Bring your curiosity and questions — we encourage learning every day.

Must-Haves:

·        A positive, can-do attitude.

·        Reliable and eager to learn.

·        Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

·        Great computer skills and confidence using Windows.

·        You’re curious and love solving problems, even small ones.

·        Ready to jump into a fast-moving, hands-on role.

·        Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and hardware.

Nice to Have (but not essential):

·        Completed or studying a course in IT, Computer Science, or similar.

·        You’ve built your own PC, helped friends with IT, and/or you tinker with tech in your spare time.

·        Some after-hours or weekend work may be required at short notice.

·        Occasional travel to our sites will be required – pool vehicles available.

·        As we are supporting a 24/7 business, willingness to participate within a rotating after hours support roster is essential.
