Job Summary
The Course Coordinator, for the Master of Teaching program (Early Childhood Education) is a specialised academic role, appointable at Senior Lecturer (Level B), responsible for coordinating and facilitating the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood education and Master of Teaching (ECE) standards. The position combines discipline expertise with, focusing on student engagement, academic excellence, and the professional development of working professionals in the early childhood sector. Supporting the Course Coordinator will be suitably qualified casual academics engaged to teach at ASAHE. Those suitably qualified and interested in casual lecturing are encouraged to submit a CV.

About the Role
Primary responsibilities include:
Unit coordination and teaching in the early childhood area including some unit content development .
Providing a quality education, care and support to the students.
Ensuring the activities of ASAHE are operated effectively and efficiently,
Producing research and scholarship that informs learning and teaching, and curriculum innovation and development.
Providing administrative support to the Dean Academic, and other academic staff.
Building the profile and reputation of ASAHE with stakeholders, the community and students.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
Hold a PhD or a postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education.
Recent teaching experience with an understanding of the EYLF and ACECQA standards .
Evidence of collaborative partnerships that have created sustainable placement opportunities
Essential:
Demonstrated experience in teaching at a tertiary level, learning, scholarship and research.
Teaching experience in Early Childhood sector.
Demonstrated expertise in ECE and understanding of current and emerging trends in Australian Education.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to teach in the Higher Education space.
Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to work with students, staff, and administrators cooperatively.
