Senior Neuro Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our dedicated allied health team. This pivotal role focuses on delivering effective, professional neuro rehabilitation to outpatients, collaborating closely with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

About the Role:

Working at a senior level, you will be integral to our outpatient team, providing expert care to patients living with neurological conditions and impairments. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working in collaboration with the outpatient team, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate, and implement treatment plans for patients living with neurological conditions and impairments.
• Manage patients living with Parkinson’s Disease, including assessing suitability for PD Warrior programs and facilitating PD Warrior groups.
• Provide individualised, goal-directed treatment approaches for patients.
• Apply and maintain working knowledge of Physiotherapy policies and procedures relevant to the area of work.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required. Your flexible and positive approach to work and demonstrated ability to efficiently manage caseload demands will assist you in this role.

The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:

• Current registration with Physiotherapy Board of Australia
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Possession of Bachelor of Applied Science Physiotherapy or equivalent
• Evidence of education in Parkinson’s disease (PD warrior training desirable).
• Relevant experience in treatment of Neurological patients
• Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement individualised physiotherapy treatment programs
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage case load demands
• Commitment to professional development in neurological physiotherapy and maintenance of current evidence-based practice
• Positive contribution to the workplace environment and the service

Remuneration

$63.82 - $68.66 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
