About you:

We are looking for caring, experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/ Cook to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Assist the Chef with meal preparation, cooking and plating.
• Prepare ingredients and follow recipes, menus and dietary requirements.
• Assist with special diets and texture-modified meals as required.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served safely and on time.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Work collaboratively with the Chef and kitchen team.
• Support a positive dining experience for residents.

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant food preparation qualification.
• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience.
• Food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment.
• Aged care kitchen experience is desirable.
