Kitchen Staff

We’re hiring an experienced Kitchen Kitchen & Fresh Foods Staff/Assistant to join our IGA supermarket team. This role covers kitchen food prep, and fresh produce, with a strong focus on quality, hygiene, and customer service.

Location:

IGA Ashfield, Perth

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Making watermelon slices and fruit salads
• Slicing, weighing, wrapping, and labelling products
• Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps, and ready-to-go meals
• Baking croissants etc. and hot food such as roast chickens
• Using creativity to prepare food based on available ingredients and seasonal produce
• Stocking and rotating fresh produce, maintaining accurate pricing and quality standards
• Setting up and maintaining appealing deli, bakery, and produce displays
• Maintaining cleanliness and following strict food safety and hygiene practices

What we’re looking for:

• Quick learner
• A proactive, positive, and can-do attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings from 6:30am
• Organised and efficient, with great attention to detail
• Passion for food and creativity to share new ideas with the team
• Able to work well independently and in a team

It'll be great if you have prior experience in kitchen, deli, café or fresh food preparation (preference)!
