As specialists in stevedoring, berth operations and management, infrastructure and warehousing, our team of nearly 1000 skilled operators support national and international customers in moving break bulk, bulk, and an expanding portfolio of project and renewable energy cargo.

The Opportunity
LINX is seeking casual Stevedores to join their Darwin operations. In this dynamic role, you will help facilitate the movement of cargo on and off vessels, offering variety where no two days are the same.

Please note that there is no minimum guarantee of shifts or hours you will get per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Moving general cargo, including containers, vehicles, project vessels and live stock.

• Assisting with mooring operations.

• Operating machinery as required.

• Driving vehicles on and off vessels.

• Releasing and securing various cargo.

• Performing ad hoc tasks as needed.

About You

• Flexibility to work on short notice, including day, afternoon and night shifts.

• Have a lifestyle that can cater to a daily roster.

• Availability for up to 12-hour shifts as required.

• Previous experience in stevedoring or logistics is highly desirable but not required.

• Current Forklift license (LF) is essential

• Tickets for MISC, dogman and reach stacker is highly regarded but not essential.

• Current open driver’s license required.

• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and a national criminal history check.

• Team player with strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset.

• Please note that this role will not suit a FIFO or DIDO lifestyle

• Willingness to get vaccine for Q Fever if required - due to handling livestock vessels
