Manager Medical Reception - Radiology FT

We’re looking for an experienced Radiology Reception Manager to lead our reception team and oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy front desk.

This full-time role is ideal for an experienced radiology or medical receptionist who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position, or an established reception manager looking to join a modern, independent radiology practice.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring our reception team operates efficiently while maintaining the warm, professional and personalised patient experience that is central to our practice.

• Leading and supporting the reception team in the day-to-day running of the practice

• Coordinating reception workflows, staff allocation and daily priorities

• Welcoming patients and ensuring a professional and positive patient experience

• Managing appointment bookings, telephone calls, email enquiries and patient correspondence

• Coordinating daily schedules with radiologists, sonographers and radiographers

• Managing Medicare billing, private billing, payments and banking

• Ensuring referrals, patient details and billing information are processed accurately

• Training, mentoring and supporting reception staff

• Managing difficult or complex patient enquiries professionally and sensitively

• Monitoring reception performance and identifying opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency

• Maintaining high standards of confidentiality, professionalism and patient service

• Working closely with practice management and the clinical team to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic

We’re looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with strong people skills and a genuine commitment to patient care.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in radiology reception or medical reception

• Previous supervisory, senior reception or management experience

• Strong understanding of Medicare billing and private billing

• Experience with radiology or medical software and PACS/RIS systems, such as Voyager, Karisma, Genie or similar

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

• Confidence leading, mentoring and supporting a reception team

• A calm and professional approach in a busy clinical environment

• Excellent attention to detail

• A genuine commitment to providing exceptional patient service
