About the role
About the role
You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of our mobile crane fleet and associated equipment. This is a hands-on mechanic role working on a diverse fleet of modern mobile cranes, with a mix of workshop and field-based work.
Key responsibilities
Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Mechanical repairs and breakdown response
Hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding
Electrical and diagnostic fault finding
Inspection of cranes and associated equipment
Identifying potential faults before they become major problems
Assisting with crane inspections and major maintenance
Working closely with our operations team to minimise downtime
Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
Ensuring all equipment meets company and industry safety standards
About you
Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or similar
Experience working on mobile cranes or heavy plant
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Experience with Liebherr, Grove, Terex, Demag, Tadano or similar equipment highly regarded
Ability to work independently and take ownership of repairs
Current driver's licence
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
