Automotive Mechanic

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our family business. In this role you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and routine repairs to a range of vehicles.    Your responsibilities would include:

• Conducting thorough and accurate inspections on new and used vehicles

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults and issues with electrical and mechanical systems

• Performing routine servicing and scheduled maintenance to industry standards

• Carrying out preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety

• Completing on‑road testing and quality assurance checks on all work done

• Complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and professional workplace

 To be successful in the role you will need the following:

• A formal qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical repair or a related automotive trade

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Light Vehicle Mechanic

• A valid Australian Driver’s Licence

• Ability to drive manual vehicles and light commercials is preferred

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills

• Broad knowledge of a wide range of makes and models, including European vehicles

• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude

• Excellent time‑management and organisational abilities

• A strong customer service mindset and professional presentation

• Commitment to safety, quality standards, and compliance

• Ability to work efficiently and independently

• Your own set of tools (recommended)

Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.

Applicants must be an Australian resident. Those currently working as a 3 or 4th year apprentice may be considered for the role.
