About the opportunityProPharma is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support a Decentralised Clinical Trial (DCT) with home-based patient visits in Mona Vale, on Sydney's Northern Beaches.This is a freelance, ad hoc engagement, not a permanent position and not a role with fixed weekly hours. It would suit an experienced nurse who is already working in another position, independently, or across other clinical research projects and would like to take on occasional additional assignments.
The initial home visit is targeted for 7 September 2026, with further visits potentially available depending on study and patient requirements.
What you will be doingYou will provide clinical trial support in the patient's home, including:Performing venipuncture and collecting blood samplesProcessing blood samples in accordance with study requirementsCentrifuging samples where requiredCompleting blood requisition forms and associated study documentationFollowing study-specific procedures and instructionsEnsuring accurate and compliant handling of samples and documentation
What we are looking forEssential:Registered Nurse with current registration in AustraliaStrong, confident and recent venipuncture experienceComfortable working independently in a patient home environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical trial proceduresAble to travel to Mona Vale for patient visitsAvailability for the initial targeted visit on 7 September 2026Able to work on a freelance / contractor basisHighly desirable:Clinical research or research nursing experienceExperience as a Research Nurse or Research Nurse CoordinatorExperience processing and centrifuging blood samplesExperience completing blood requisition formsExperience within a Phase I unit, clinical trials unit, research site or hospital research teamEngagement detailsLocation: Mona Vale, Northern Beaches, Sydney, NSWEngagement: Freelance / independent contractorWork pattern: Ad hoc, based on individual study and patient visit requirementsInitial targeted visit: 7 September 2026Hours: No fixed weekly hours or guaranteed ongoing volumeFlexibility: This work can be undertaken alongside other employment, freelance assignments or clinical research projects, subject to your existing commitments and availability
