About the role

At Travellers Autobarn we help thousands of customers explore Australia, New Zealand and America by campervan.

Of course trips don’t always go to plan and that’s where our Customer Care Team steps In.

You'll support customers travelling throughout Australia, New Zealand and the USA, helping troubleshoot campervan and vehicle issues and coordinating repairs and roadside assistance. This role involves making decisions, solving real problems and working with customers, mechanics, roadside assistance providers and branches across three countries.

Key responsibilities

• Support customers travelling throughout Australia, New Zealand and the USA

• Troubleshoot campervan and vehicle issues over the phone, email and messaging

• Help customers diagnose simple problems and get back on the road quickly

• Book mechanics, repairers, auto electricians and other service providers

• Coordinate roadside assistance and vehicle repairs when required

• Follow up repairs and keep customers informed throughout the process

• Set clear and realistic expectations when travel plans are disrupted

• Find practical solutions while balancing the needs of the customer and the business

• Work closely with branches, operations teams and external repair networks

• Manage multiple cases at once and prioritise urgent breakdowns

About you

• Calm and confident when dealing with customers under pressure

• A strong communicator who can explain things clearly and set expectations

• Naturally practical and good at troubleshooting

• Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership of problems

• Organised and able to manage several cases at the same time

• Able to balance empathy with commercial common sense

• Comfortable speaking with mechanics, suppliers and customers from around the world

• Curious and willing to learn how campervans and vehicle systems work

• Someone who genuinely enjoys travel and helping people

• Experience in customer service, travel, tourism, automotive, roadside assistance, insurance, fleet, rentals or operations would be highly regarded
